Houlux Consignment Process
At Houlux, consignment means entrusting us with your luxury item so that we can handle the entire sales process on your behalf in a secure, professional, and fully managed environment. There are no costs or hidden fees for you.
We take care of every step: valuation, authentication, listing, promotion, client communication, and transaction completion. In short, once your item is sold, your payout is transferred directly to your bank account.
1. Contact Us and Receive an Initial Valuation
To begin the process, simply send us photos of your item via WhatsApp at +33 6 99 04 93 02 or through our online form (sell a piece), along with the following information:
• Brand
• Model
• Size
• Color
• General condition
• Year of purchase (if known)
• Availability of the original invoice, box, dust bag, or accessories
Our team will then provide you with a free net valuation based on the current market value of your item.
Negotiation is always possible depending on the item and its sales potential.
2. Consignment Approval
If you are satisfied with the valuation, we will proceed with the consignment process together.
The consignment is confirmed through a consignment contract.
The initial contract period is 3 months, during which the item cannot be withdrawn. After this period, the agreement automatically continues, and you may request the return of your item at any time if it has not yet been sold.
If you would like to receive a copy of the contract in advance for review, please feel free to contact us.
3. Consignment Agreement Setup
To prepare the agreement, we will require the following information:
• Full name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Full postal address
• Bank details (IBAN and BIC/SWIFT)
• Copy of a valid ID document
⚠️ The bank account details provided must match both the name stated on the agreement and the account holder's name.
4. Shipping Your Item
To ensure the highest level of service and security, we can create a DHL Express shipping label for you at no cost.
To generate the label, we will need:
• Parcel weight
• Parcel dimensions
This solution guarantees fast and highly secure transportation of your item to our showroom in Paris.
5. Reception, Authentication and Listing Preparation
Once your item arrives at our showroom, it will be:
• Carefully inspected
• Authenticated through our double-authentication process (internal authentication and expert Jérôme Lalande, certified by the Paris Court of Appeal)
• Professionally photographed
• Carefully described for listing purposes
Your item is generally published on our website within approximately one week of its arrival.
6. Security and Insurance
Throughout the entire consignment period, your item is:
• Fully insured at its actual market value
• Stored in a secure environment
• Protected by professional security systems
No additional fees apply.
7. Listing and Promotion
Your item is listed both in our showroom and on our website to maximize visibility and encourage a quick sale.
To further increase exposure, we also promote items through our Instagram account, live selling sessions, and our international client network.
Our goal is to showcase your item in the best possible way to maximize its chances of selling.
If the item does not sell within a reasonable timeframe, we may discuss a more attractive pricing strategy together to improve its chances of a faster sale.
No change to your agreed net payout amount will ever be made without your prior approval.
8. Product Sold and Your Payout
Once your item has been sold, a member of our team will contact you.
Payment is made via bank transfer directly to the bank account specified in the consignment agreement.
Payout is processed after:
• The legal 14-day return period has expired
• An additional banking processing period of approximately 10 days
In most cases, you can expect to receive your payout approximately 3 weeks after the sale of your item.

Whenever you have another luxury item you wish to sell, our team will be delighted to provide a new valuation and guide you through the consignment process once again.
